Exotic Cochin Ceramic has been used to decorate temples in Taiwan for more than a hundred years, the art having originated in Southern China.
Cochin earthenware pieces are renowned for their low heat multi-firing process and intricate soothing glazed colours. The skillful sculpting and painting are based on the use of animals, flowers and human figures to illustrate some auspicious symbols, and legends. It was believed these symbols had the power to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck to its owner.

We realize this isn't a teapot but these cup-saucer-spoon sets caught our eye. Made of Chinese Porcelain which makes them both beautull and functional. The perfect art object.
