Helen Hewitt has been making and decorating pottery for the past 15 years both in England and Ireland. She set up her own pottery studio in Warwickshire, England in 1998 in partnership with her sister Vanessa a textile designer. Since then they have specialised in tableware design, producing a wide range of colourful and practical ware in stoneware clay inspired by the natural world.
Each piece is hand thrown and decorated using traditional techniques; it is therefore unique, beautiful, and designed to be functional.Each piece is signed.

A beautifull teapot adorned with bluberries. Although this one looks good enough to eat, it pours so beautilfully you'll wnat to use if for tea.
Teapot holds 32 ounces and is approximately 9.5 inches long by 7 inches high.

A wonderful tea set adorned with blueberries. Good enough to eat.
This set consits of ateapot, a cream and sugar set and 4 mugs.
The teapot is 9 1/2 inches long by 7 inches high and holds 32 ounces.
The mugs are 5 inches high.
The cream and the sugar with spoon are both 5 inches high.

Tube lining is the art of adding raised releif decoratoin to ceramics. A soft clay slip is pushed through a tube, much the same way that you would decorate a cake, is used to outline the design. Layers of color are than applied. Several firing are required which gives the Tube-lined "art pottery" Each piece is tube-lined and painted entirely by hand. Flowing raised lines and pristine color, combined with detailed and subtle brushstrokes.
Teapot is 8.25 inches long by 8.25 inches high by 5 inches wide.
This set comes with 2 teacups although only one is shown in the photograph.

A beautiful Pear teapot. The larger photo shows a complete teaset. Sadly only the teapot is available.
The decorating makes use of a technique called tube lining that makes slightly raised borders to parts of the design.

A beautiful tube lined Roses tea pot with a warmer and 2 cups and saucers.
Teapot is 10 inches long (spout to handle) and 7 inches high.
The fully funtioning warmer is 5 inches wide abd 3 inches high.
The teacup is 4.5 inches in diameter and the saucer is 6.75 inches in diameter. This set comes with 2 teacups although only one is shown in the picture.
