The Aeroplane Teapot was introduced to celebrate the achievements of the world's aviation pioneers. It was often presented to Pilots of the Royal Flying Corps, RAF (and the associated forces overseas), on gaining their aero licence. It was so popular, with aviators, that production of the plane continued well into the 1940s. The Aeroplane Teapot is cast from the original mould that was first made towards the end of WW1. This airplane is finished in the original white glaze, and is highlighted in platinum lustre, which is applied by hand by skilled decorators. Approx dimensions:9.0 in x 9.0 in x 4.5 in Made in England
