IIn 1775, John Aynsley established a factory at Lane End (now Longton) and became one of Stoke-on-Trent's earliest master potters. Little did he know, that what had begun as a hobby and developed into a small business, would continue to grow and prosper over the next 200 years.
The Elizabeth set consists of a 4-cup teapot, a cream and sugar set and 4 cups and saucers. Only 2 of the cups and saucers are shown in the photograph. The teapot holds 40 ounces and is 9 inches long by 6 inches high. The teacups hold 6 ounces. The cream holds 2 ounces and is 4 inches long by 2 1/4 inches high. The sugar is 4 1/2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches high
